Stone Sour - Hesitate

Stone Sour é a banda que irá inaugurar a série Rock in Rio 2011. Se eu perdi a SWU ano passado, o Rock in Rio não perderei esse ano. Portanto farei um aquecimento no blog com as bandas e artistas que irão se apresentar no final de Setembro/começo de Outubro no Rio de Janeiro.

Stone Sour é uma banda de Metal estadunidense formada em 1992, mas eles lançaram seu primeiro álbum apenas em 2002. O vocalista Corey Todd também é vocal da ótima banda Slipknot, sim aquela mesma das máscaras e afins. É dificil visualizar como um vocalista pode participar de bandas tão distintas, mas ele consegue trabalhar bem nos dois projetos.



Hesitate é o mais novo single da banda, ele faz parte do recém lançado álbum Audio Secrecy de 2010. Hesitate não é uma música com picos de voz, ou seja não tem uma entonação diferente no refrão. O tom de voz de Corey permanece praticamente o mesmo em toda a música e isso acaba conferindo muita qualidade para o conjunto, já que musicalmente eles tocam muito bem.

Além de Hesitate não podemos deixar de comentar sobre Through Glass a música mais conhecida da banda e também uma excelente música que vale a pena escutar. Pelas características, guardadas as devidas proporções, Through Glass lembra muito a proposta de Everything do Lifehouse.

É difícil descrever essa música, essa é uma música para sentir mais do que ouvir. Uma música para você lembrar do passado, sentir o presente e imaginar o futuro.

A música é quase todo tempo calma, inclusive o seu refrão parece ser cantado no pé do ouvido da pessoa.

E durante todo esse tempo você se desliga do mundo e fica escutando-a. E a cada verso você se emociona com ela.

Até que chega a parte mais pesada da música o momento que ocorre a explosão de emoção, onde se você estiver meio triste fatalmente escorrerá lágrimas do seus olhos, pois depois de tudo ouvir: 'Cause you're all that I want, You're all I need, You're everything, everything, é meio difícil segurar as emoções.
